Overview

Dublin is a city of literature with three of Ireland's Nobel Prize winners in Literature hailing from this fair city. The capital has been immortalized in the works of James Joyce, Flann O'Brien and Samuel Beckett, to mention a few in the pantheon.

Join a resident Dublin writer and Historian as I take you through a city that inspired multiple generations of greats. We will visit sites like the Abbey Theatre, Sweny's Chemist, the National library, the Irish Houses of Parliament, and the Irish Writer's Museum. Unlike other tours you will not simply be a bystander but a participant on this journey. At each stop we will read from the finest works of Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, William Butler Yeats, and Samuel Beckett, to name just a few of the writers we will meet. No one will escape the embarrassment of public speaking, least of all me!

What's Included

A document pack filled with samples of literature.

We will enter the W.B. Yeats exhibit in the NLI, Sweny's Chemist and the Palace Bar.

We will visit the Wilde memorial, a Bernard Shaw statue and the Beckett theatre in TCD.
